Xperia play or samsung galaxy s 2?

i really want xperia play but the problem is its not dual core (stupid sony ericsson always hasty) but i do play lots of games, and im thinking about after a few months later what if sony ericsson just leave us with gingerbread with no updates plus im sure future games will need a much powerful phones (galaxy s 2)
