How come guys are more hasty to grow up than girls?

It seems like almost all my guy friends have moved out or are living on their own now whereas most of my girl friends are totally comfortable living at home still with their parents. That's like also a lot of guys I know got their licenses the day they turned 16 whereas girls don't seem to be as anxious to get it, in general. Does anyone know why this is?? I'm just curious
