What is the best way to prepare for a move?
I am planning to move two hours away to be closer to school. I have been applying to jobs in the city..nothing yet. I even applied to temporary agencies while I was there for the short period I was of two months. I was thinking of a plan B- moving one hour away to a city in between my birth home and where I will be living in the new city. The new city is Indianapolis, which is two hrs away, the plan B city-Columbus, IN..I know nothing about..& from what I have been finding online..it doesn't seem like much of a city. I looked for apartments there..and found two. Literally, twol. I was thinking of saving three months rent then going for it..but with everything going on right now..that's impossible. I can barely save two months rent. I even thought about homeless shelters and living in my car in Indianapolis until I got on my feet. Bottom line is, I hate where I am living now and I really want to get away..by any means necessary..but I have made the mistake of trying to "get out quickly" before..& my failed attempt landed me back home with no money and a temporary agency. So this time, I want to be smarter..but I want to move soon. Any ideas..Moving suggestions. Any suggestions or people who have dealt with this will be greatly appreciated. I motivate myself by thinking of how I will decorate my apartment one day..but it's temporary satisfaction. I guess for anyone in the Indianapolis, IN, Carmel, IN, or Columbus, IN region. I am looking for apartment and jobs suggestions for someone who is just starting out. I am familiar with Pickwick Farms and their shorter leases.but for their prices I could get a much bigger apartment somewhere else. Suggestions and Help Please.
