What animation software works better other than daz 3d and poser?

I've been hearing that daz3d animation software is as good as the poser 7 or higher. I haven't tried them before, but I also don't want to be too hasty. All i would like to know is that is there any other 3d animation software that is as popular other than daz and poser, because I'm studying to be an animator.
