First time self employed as a tarot card reader, how would I do my books?

Considering an independent self employed tarot card reader role working from home taking calls from the company I have signed a ''contract'' with. When I do my books, what would the columns be as ? Can this be done on paper, or some kind of software ? This is so each can go under the correct heading with the correct receipt/invoice, and to help me keep as accurate books as possible, I'm also considering using an accountant for the first year at least until I can do this competantly myself. Are there any specialist accountants I can use being independently self employed ? If anyone else has done this particular role and can offer me guidance it would be much appreciated :-)
